I would like to apologize to those of you who created an account recently only to find that you were asked to fill out the same user information twice on different sign-up screens. This is not the way it was intended to function and it should now be fixed to only request the information one time.
As a side-effect, if you chose different user names or cancelled out of the second sign-up page you may not be able to visit the community pages (forums, blogs, etc.) while logged in. If the site hangs when you attempt to go to the forums, please drop us a message on our feedback page and we will take care of it as quickly as possible. This should not be an issue for the majority of users (if any) as we have taken every effort to fix the problem for effected accounts already.
Again, I apologize for any inconvenience. We are only a small development team here at PatentReference with limited resources to run this free site. While we make every effort to maintain a quality site, inevitably problems such as this will arise. Because we are unable to constantly test the site for errors and still develop new and useful features for the site, we rely on our user community to inform us of anything we miss. Please take the time to send us feedback if you find anything amiss. It will get our prompt attention.
